Hey guys! How's it hanging? ...Good? Good!
Speaking of hanging good. You guys should check out my new podcast, Good Hang! My good buddy: musician, actor, performer, and all around good dude Nathan Hartono and I get together once a week to catch up and talk about latest happenings in pop culture and have quite a few laughs in the process. I'm super proud of it and I think many of you will enjoy it. Click here to check out our website, to download the first episode click here to download it on iTunes or here to listen it on SoundCloud.
This photo was one of our options for our cover art for the podcast. In the end, we chose a different photo but I really do love this one as well. Nathan kinda came up with this idea to look off camera with an expression of wonderment/amazement/stoicism...or something. Anyway, I am not one to question such a strange and fun idea so we ran with it. And I couldn't be happier with the results.
Once again, this was taken in my home studio, with a similar lighting situation to my previous series as well as with my Sony a7s with the 55mm 1.8. But this time the photos were taken remotely via Sony's awesome mobile app which allows me to see on my iPhone what my camera sees through its lens. Just out of frame, is me holding my iPhone and activating the shutter release on the camera. Ain't technology grand?
I did a little bit of desaturation in post to really bring out the whole immortal/glorious/hopeful vibe...or something.
Check back next week for a new post!
Until then, go shoot stuff.
